What is visual stress?

Some people experience discomfort, headaches or glare, or find that words appear to move, blur or jump on the page even when their prescription is correct. This is often called visual stress (or Meares–Irlen syndrome) and frequently responds to a precise colour tint.

The Intuitive Colorimeter

The Cerium Intuitive Colorimeter is scientifically designed to present colours sequentially across 360 degrees of colour space. With tens of thousands of possible colour combinations, it allows patients to identify swiftly the precise colour that may help relieve their symptoms. Research has shown that, for some patients, this precision is crucial.

Precision-tinted lenses

Once we have identified the appropriate tint, we can order genuine Cerium precision-tinted lenses. Each pair is tinted and spectrally checked at Cerium's in-house laboratory, then supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
